My Namesake

Today am using this yellow cable to do some copying between two Mac laptops. Why can’t I do it wirelessly? Well, that’s probably my inadequacy. And it’s at times like this, that I really wish I were my namesake, Robert Metcalfe, that incredibly brilliant man who invented ethernet. My yellow cable is ethernet, and it is still vital today despite all the wireless smarts, because when you get inside the house, no matter how fast broadband speeds are, you can’t beat ethernet for speed once inside your building.
