Moving HTML Elements Primer Tutorial

Moving HTML Elements Primer Tutorial (try twirling round bottom of image for a synopsis ... 'do the twirl now')

Here we have a common scenario on the web, in that this tutorial creates one of those “windows” (but is a <div>) always sitting on top. Sometimes that annoys, sometimes it is necessary, but almost certainly what this tutorial makes happen really does annoy, in that the “window” on top moves away from you as you try to close it … aaaaarrrgh!

This is a client behaviour, so you’ve probably guessed that this is done with JavaScript.

Enjoy this tutorial perhaps.

Regarding this topic I really like JavaScript & Alax for the Web, Seventh Edition By Tom Negrino and Dori Smith where the code presented was followed closely here.

Here is a link to the HTML programming source code that you might want to rename to layeringYourDivs.html

The link here helped a lot with the random Latin … thanks.
