TripView Mobile Application Primer Tutorial

If you are a regular at this blog posting you will have seen our fondness for TimeZones because time zones represent to us, the combination of what to us are the two biggest “question” talents of the Internet …

  • the “where” of life … and …
  • the “when” of life

… and so today we have for you another example of this, and of “scrunched up” T two word combo concept ThinGos … tee hee … TripView … what’s TripView? … it’s a mobile application here in Sydney and/or Melbourne, in Australia, with “hot off the press” public transport information (derived from the relevant public transport government databases but run by TripView Proprietry Limited), giving you the “griffen” on when buses and trains and ferries are due, waiting at the stop, or ahead of time.

This is an example of a real time application so suited to that “where” and “when” combination, so long as you allow Location Services access to your positional information with your smartphone. But please note, even without that Location Services access, that places remote to you right now can be entered ahead of time to work out the public transport options available for any given trip attempt. As well as there being real time explanations for cancellations or delays, as a stress reliever, or stress producer, depending on your circumstances.

TripView is available as both the TripView Android mobile app from Google Play or as TripView iOS app for which you can see us using it on an iPhone, today, in the form of a PDF slideshow.

To the right of today’s tutorial picture you will see that other cities around the world will have apps like this, and so if you like to be on time, you should take a look around Google Play (Android) and/or Apple‘s App Store (iOS) for your local public transport trip planners.
