So the data is what is important and the interface to that data is crucial &#8230; makes sense.  Today we introduce ourselves (though many of you may already have introduced yourself &#8230; perhaps with &#8220;<i>G&#8217;day Mungers!<\/i> <b><i>Mongo D.B. to you, matey.<\/i><\/b>&#8220;) to MongoDB, a database software that doesn&#8217;t have to use SQL.   Whaaaaaaat?  Yes, a database software that doesn&#8217;t have to use the Structured Query Language.   (That&#8217;s much better.   Yeh, no worries.)<\/p>\n<p>MongoDB interfaces to Javascript and a first look at it was impressive to me regarding ease of use.  This introductory view does not delve into performance issues, and security issues, which are big factors in assessing database strengths and weaknesses.
