Today&#8217;s game tests your skills using prepositions in English. Maybe it would be a good game to learn some aspects to English vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>Even though today&#8217;s word game does not require it, programmers often use <a target_blank title='Words (unix) information from Wikipedia' href='http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Words_%28Unix%29'>Linux dictionary files<\/a> as a means to get a word list, and that list could be in any language, and for our other word games lately those lists have been in English.<\/p>\n<p>The reason PHP is not needed is that the word list used in this game is hardcoded into the Javascript, and with respect to the data for this we have to thank &#8220;Text Types in English&#8221; by Mark Anderson and Kathy Anderson pp. 78-79, for the idea and data source for this tutorial.<\/p>\n<p>This <a target=_blank href=\"http:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/HTMLCSS\/Prepositions\/\" title=\"Prepositions\">game<\/a> creates two select HTML elements for the word adjoining the preposition, and a derived select element for the preposition. As there can be more than one correct correspondence this second select element has the property multiple=&#8221;multiple&#8221;, so if this interests you then please consult the <a target=_blank href=\"http:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/HTMLCSS\/Prepositions\/words_prepositions.html_GETME\" title=\"words_prepositions.html\">code<\/a> &#8230; or insult it, if you are feeling ngair ngair ng ngair ngairish &#8230; be like that &#8230; see how moi cares?!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, see how you go with this informative prepositions game! Should you want more information regarding these vital little (preposition) words in the English language, maybe start with a <a target=_blank title='Preposition information from Wikipedia' href='http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Preposition_and_postposition'>Wikipedia link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a link to some downloadable HTML (with Javascript) programming code you could rename to <a target=_blank href=\"http:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/HTMLCSS\/Prepositions\/words_prepositions.html_GETME\" title=\"words_prepositions.html\">words_prepositions.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If this was interesting you may be interested in <a title='Click here to see topics in which you might be interested' href='#d6577' onclick='var dv=document.getElementById(\"d6577\"); dv.innerHTML = \"&lt;iframe width=670 height=600 src=\" + \"http:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/wordpress\/?cat=44\" + \"&gt;&lt;\/iframe&gt;\"; dv.style.display = \"block\";'>this<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<div id='d6577' style='display: none; border-left: 2px solid green; border-top: 2px solid green;'><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you like word games?
