    Organizational wise, yes, you need to tell your (same) ISP you’re moving and taking their modem with you (leaving any NBN owned (connection box) hardware behind), and they will talk plans and activation times etcetera etcetera etcetera<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Other than that, and a call to our ISP for help when we hadn’t picked the exact<\/i> “designated NBN FTTN (telephone port) connection point”, smooth sailing! (Apart, also, from mistaking RJ12 type of port for RJ45 port … RJ45 is same squareishness, but bigger (and not right for your normal telephone connection going back eons), and comes into play when WAN (wide area network) … oh, never mind!)<\/font><\/p>\n

    What were the symptoms of the DIY (do it yourself)<\/font> first attempt “hooking up the modem”<\/a> causing a “power” LED (light-emitting diode)<\/font> (firm) and “WiFi” LED (blinking) but no successful Internet connection issue, leading to the ISP phone call?<\/p>\n
