However, saying that, all the modern web browsers have their own versions of Firebug &#8220;in the box&#8221;.  For instance Firefox has Tools -&gt; Web Developer which does a great job, like Firebug, as well.<\/p>\n<p>But &#8220;View Page Source&#8221; will help you with a lot of static HTML and CSS considerations, and even some dynamic DOM ones involving the HTML document body onload event, and you just open the HTML up (with &#8220;View Page Source&#8221;) to see the HTML before you in that straightforward &#8220;easy peasy&#8221; way.<\/p>\n<p>The other consideration is that products like Firebug have a bit of a learning curve.<\/p>\n<p>What we find debugging, is that &#8220;View Page Source&#8221; methods (as shown with today&#8217;s Firefox <a target=_blank title='Click picture' href='http:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/Mac\/view_page_source.jpg'>tutorial picture<\/a>), resolve about 80% of the issues and products like Firebug get called for the rest.<\/p>\n<p>If this was interesting you may be interested in <a title='Click here to see topics in which you might be interested' href='#d21902' onclick='var dv=document.getElementById(\"d21902\"); dv.innerHTML = \"&lt;iframe width=670 height=600 src=\" + \"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/tag\/debugging\" + \"&gt;&lt;\/iframe&gt;\"; dv.style.display = \"block\";'>this<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<div id='d21902' style='display: none; border-left: 2px solid green; border-top: 2px solid green;'><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following a &#8220;tagline&#8221; of &#8220;debugging&#8221; today, as you, the blog reader would have seen it too, we realized &#8220;infilling&#8221; was needed, because it is a bit unrepresentative to have blog postings about products such as Firefox&#8216;s Firebug addon, as web &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/web-browser-view-page-source-debugging-tutorial\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[12,37],"tags":[307,438,439,576,652,1319,1404],"class_list":["post-21902","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-elearning","category-tutorials","tag-debugging","tag-firebug","tag-firefox","tag-html","tag-javascript","tag-tutorial","tag-web-browser"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/21902"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=21902"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/21902\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":23288,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/21902\/revisions\/23288"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=21902"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=21902"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rjmprogramming.com.au\/ITblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=21902"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
